1. On the basis of the result of the written part of the Geologists’ Examination, 2010 held by U.P.S.C. in December, 2010 the candidates with the under mentioned Roll Numbers have qualified for Interview/Personality Test.



2. The candidature of these candidates is PROVISIONAL subject to their being found eligible in all respects. The candidates would be required to produce the original certificates in support of their claims relating to age, educational qualifications, community, physical disability etc. at the time of the Personality Test. They are, therefore, advised to keep the said certificates ready.



3. Detailed Application Form (DAF) along with Gazette Notification dated 19th June, 2010 containing Rules for Geologists’ Examination, 2010 and Summary Sheet is available on the Commission’s Website http://www.upsc.gov.in’. All the qualified candidates are required to download the DAF and Summary Sheet, fill up both and send them by Regd. Post/Speed Post to the Under Secretary (Geologists’) Room No.305 Ayog Sachivalaya Building, Union Public Service Commission, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi -110069 within seven days from the date of declaration of result.



4. Interview of candidates who have qualified for the Personality Test are tentatively scheduled to be held during Sept./October, 2011. The exact date of interview will, however, be intimated to the candidates individually through Interview Letter. Roll Number wise Interview Schedule will also be made available on Commission’s Website in due course.



5. The mark-sheets of candidates who have not qualified, will be put on the Commission’s Website within 15 days from the date of publication of the final result (after conducting Personality Test) and will remain available on the Website for a period of 60 days.

The lists, in order of merit, in respect of 368 (Men 295 + Women 73) candidates who have finally qualified on the basis of the results of the Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2010 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission and Interviews held by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence for admission to the (i) Officers Training Academy, Chennai, for 94th Short Service Commission Course (for Men) and (ii) Officers Training Academy, Chennai, 8th Short Service Commission Women (Non-Technical) Course, commencing in OCTOBER, 2011. The list of 94th Short Service Commission Course (for Men) also includes the names of the candidates who were recommended earlier on the basis of the result of the same examination for admission to Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala and Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course(s).

3. The results of Medical Examination of candidates have not been taken into account in preparing the merit list. The candidature of all the candidates is Provisional. Verification of DOB and Educational Qualification of these Candidates will be done by Army HQ.
