Karnataka Dept. of Pre-University Education is an Independent dept. and it deals with 1st year and 2nd year Pre-University standard (XI and XII classes). This is the unique feature ofKarnataka State. Department of Pre-University Education controls all the colleges offering Pre-University Education.
