IBPS Score Card Analysis & Helpfull Information www.ibps.in

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS)
IBPS Score Card Anlysis & Helpfull Information
There is a confusion among the candidates who have received their IBPS CWE Score Card. Many Candidates failed to understand how IBPS actually calculated the marks. This post will explain to you How IBPS Calculated CWE Score Card Marks. IBPS has used a method called ‘ Standard Score’ to calculate marks. Many of you are unaware of the term so I’m going to explain it.

Standard Scores as defined in Score card:

* Number of questions correctly by you in each objective test in considered for arriving at the corrected score after applying penalty for wrong answers
* The corrected scores so obtained by you is made equivalent to take of the minor difference in difficulty level,if any,in each of the objective tests held in diffrent sessions to arrive at the equated score
* The equated score so obtained by you is made equivalent to arrive at final standard score with a minimum of 0 and maximum of 50 following Linear Transformation Method
* Total weighted Standard score is calculated as= Standard scores obtained in {Reasoning+ Quantitative Aptitude+GA+COMP+ 1/2 of (English Language + Descriptive Paper) }

So if a candidate got 35 Marks in Reasoning Section, 30 in Quantitative Aptitude, 30 in General Awareness, 35 in Computer

* Reasoning Section = 35
* Quantitative Aptitude = 30
* General Awareness = 32
* Computer =35
* ENGLISH = 21
* Descriptive = 25

Standard Score of the candidate will be {35 + 30 + 32 +35 + 1/2 (21+25)} = 155
