Qualifications : - Ph.D in Science, Engineering or Management (with Science & Technology background) first class or equivalent grade at the preceding degree with very good academic record throughout.

Experience : - 15 years’ teaching or research in industry or rural technology Development, of which 5 years should be at the level of Chief Scientific Officer.An outstanding Engineer/Technocrat/ Scientist working in industry or Non Government Organisation (NGO)/ Research Laboratory with established reputation and who has made significant contribution to the field of rural industrialisation, but not having a Ph.D Degree or first class in preceding degree would also be considered in exceptional cases.
