SSC Jr Translators(CSOLS)/Jr Hindi Translators, Pradhyapak Exam, 2011

STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION

Commission will hold a Combined All India Open Examination for recruitment to the posts of Junior Translators(CSOLS)/Junior Hindi Translators (in Subordinate Offices) , Hindi Pradhyapak Pradhyapak in Central Hindi Training Institute and Senior/Junior Translators under Ministry of Defence.

Vacancies:

Name of Post:> Junior Translators(CSOLS)(Group „B‟ Non-Gazetted)

Pay Scale: —-> Rs. 9300-34800 + GP 4200/-

Qualifications:> The candidates in order to be eligible for appointment to the above post shall be:

ESSENTIAL:
(I) (a) Master’s Degree or equivalent in Hindi or English with English or Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as a medium of examination at degree
level
OR
(b) Master’s Degree or equivalent in any subject other than Hindi or English with Hindi or English medium and English or Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as a medium of examination at degree level
OR
(c) Master’s Degree or equivalent in any subject other than Hindi or English with Hindi and English as a compulsory or elective subject or either of the two as medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level;
AND
(II) Recognized Diploma or certificate Course in Translation from Hindi to English and vice-versa OR Two years experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice-versa in CG/ SG/PSUs.
DESIRABLE:
(i) Knowledge at the level of Matriculation of a recognized Board or equivalent of one of the languages other than Hindi mentioned in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution.
(ii) Degree or Diploma in translation from Hindi to English and vice-versa.

Technical)

Pay Scale: —-> Rs. 9300-34800 + GP 4200/-

Qualifications:> The candidates in order to be eligible for appointment to the above post shall be:
i) Masters Degree or equivalent in English/ Hindi with Hindi/English as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level;
ii) Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with Hindi and English as main subjects (which includes the term compulsory and elective)

Age:> Not exceeding 30 years

Pay Scale: —-> Rs. 9300-34800 + GP 4600/-

Qualifications:> The candidates in order to be eligible for appointment to the above post shall be:
i) Master‟s degree in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as medium of examination at the degree level; OR
Master‟s degree in English with Hindi as compulsory or elective subject or as medium of examination at degree level; OR
Master‟s degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi or English medium and English or Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as medium of examination at degree level ; OR
Master‟s degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi or English as a compulsory or elective subject or either of the two medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at the degree level: OR
ii) Recognized Diploma or certificate course in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa or two years‟ experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in CG/SG/PSUs.

i) Master‟s degree in Hindi with English as one of the subjects at degree level either as compulsory or optional or as a language paper
ii) Bachelor‟s degree in Education

iii) Two years experience of Teaching Hindi at Senior Secondary Level.

Application Charges:

FEE PAYABLE Rs 100/-(Rupees One Hundred only)

The candidates should pay the fee by means of “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps(CRFS)”only . CRFS are available at the counter of all Departmental Post Offices of the country. Recruitment Fee Stamps should be pasted on the application form in the space earmarked for the purpose. After getting the Recruitment Fee Stamps cancelled from the Post Office, the candidate must submit their application to the concerned Regional Office/Sub Regional Offices of the Commission in the usual manner after completing other formalities.
