Located in Dispur, Guwahati, Krishna Kanta Handique State Open University (KKHSOU) is one of the pioneering open university of the state of Assam. The University was founded by Assam Legislative Assembly with the passing of Act (XXXVII of 2005) on September 7, 2005. It was established with an aim to encourage Open University and distance education across the state. The University offers programmes in various disciplines at different degree levels.
